Please read these frequently asked questions before you book.
Once you complete your booking with Rio Airport Transfer, the details of the booking are sent to us electronically and we will make the appropriate transfer arrangements as per your request. You will receive an email confirming your booking within 15 minutes of completing the booking process.
When arriving at an airport, a member of our team will meet you inside the public arrivals area of the airport, immediately after luggage collection.
For journeys from your accommodation back to the airport, your driver will meet you inside your hotel or accommodation.
The transfer journey times shown when completing your booking are the average time on a normal day. Please do keep in mind that many factors outside of our control that may alter the journey time.
We monitor all our customers flights to ensure your driver is waiting for you, even if your flight is delayed.
A one way price includes a single journey from either your arrival point, to your accommodation, or from your accommodation to your departure point.
A round trip booking includes both the arrival and departure transfer.
Most transfer vehicles are able to accommodate one suitcase and piece of hand luggage per person. (Up to 3 passengers per vehicle, children and babies count as 1 person). If you are traveling with excess luggage for example pushchairs, wheelchairs, golf clubs, surfboards or any other out of the ordinary items, it is imperative we are made aware as extra charges maybe applicable. Failure to do so may result in additional charges incurred by the passengers locally, and a delay to your journey
The price paid does not include a tip. As is standard across the globe these days if you feel your driver has been friendly and courteous, then a small tip is the norm.
If your details change prior to departure, simply send us an email at book@rioairporttransfer.com and we’ll update your booking and forward an amended confirmation email to you.
You may cancel your booking at any time. If you notify us more than 12 hours before your scheduled transfer you will receive a full refund. Passengers cancelling within 12 hours of their scheduled transfer will not receive a refund.
Our website will allow you to book a transfer up to 12 hours prior to arriving in or departing from Rio de Janeiro.
