Please read these frequently asked questions before you book.
Once you complete your booking with Brazil Airport Transfers, the details of the booking are sent to us electronically and we will make the appropriate arrangements as per your request. You will receive an email confirming your booking within 15 minutes of completing the booking process.
Most vehicles can carry up to 4 passengers as stated above. For private transfers infants and children do count as one person. We strongly recommend parents take their own child seats to ensure adequate safety and to comply with local legislation. As with car rental policy it is also the parents responsibility to fit the seat. Most airlines do not charge for the carriage of child seats and pushchairs. We do not always have the facility to provide infant or child seats in our vehicles.
Details of how to collect your transfer will appear on your booking voucher, which is generated automatically and is emailed to you once you complete your booking. In almost all circumstances your driver will be waiting for you and will be holding a sign with your name on it.
The times quoted are the standard journey times on a normal day. These times may alter slightly in high season when there is more traffic or road works affect the direct route of the journey. Please be aware that there are often lengthy delays when travelling from Rio’s Galeao International airport.
Our drivers and vehicles are fully insurance. However we always recommend that passengers hold a valid travel insurance policy for the duration of your trip.
Rio Airport Transfer operates a complete non smoking policy in all vehicles – this applies to passengers and drivers.
We monitor all our customers flights to ensure your driver is waiting for you, even if your flight is delayed.
Most transfer vehicles are able to accommodate one suitcase and piece of hand luggage per person. (Up to 3 passengers per vehicle, children and babies count as 1 person). If you are traveling with excess luggage for example pushchairs, wheelchairs, golf clubs, surfboards or any other out of the ordinary items, it is imperative we are made aware as extra charges maybe applicable. Failure to do so may result in additional charges incurred by the passengers locally, and a delay to your journey
The price paid does not include a tip. As is standard across the globe these days if you feel your driver has been friendly and courteous, then a small tip is the norm.
If your details change prior to departure, simply send us an email at book@rioairporttransfer.com and we’ll update your booking and forward an amended confirmation email to you.
You may cancel your booking at any time. If you notify us more than 12 hours before your scheduled transfer you will receive a full refund. Passengers cancelling within 12 hours of their scheduled transfer will not receive a refund.
Our website will allow you to book a transfer up to 12 hours prior to arriving in or departing from Rio de Janeiro.
